What to Wear to a 19th Century Costume Ball
Attending a Regency Ball is like stepping into a Jane Austen novel, where elegance and grace take center stage. The Regency Period, officially spanning 1811–1820 but often extended from 1795–1837, was a time of refined fashion, intricate social customs, and romantic dancing. Whether you're preparing for a historical dance event or a themed costume ball, understanding the era’s signature styles will help you dress the part with authenticity and charm.
