Longer Timelines: Beyond The Wedding Dance Prep

Time permitting, it’s very helpful to begin group classes (or private lessons) six months to one year before your wedding. The skills and confidence you’ll gain will greatly assist you as you prepare for your wedding dance, and you’ll be able to enjoy dancing with your sweetheart for a lifetime.

Then as it gets closer to your wedding, you can schedule your Wedding Dance Package to learn your first dance choreography.

All of our wedding dance packages will get you confident and ready for your first dance. You’ll have a beautiful dance and be successful with 3, 5, or 10 lessons, so choose the option that suits your desires, timeline, and budget. 

• 3 Wedding Lessons
  Our smallest package is three wedding lessons. This is plenty of time to learn a beautiful wedding dance. Since you won't have many lessons at the studio, it will help if you can make time to review the video and/or practice a bit at home.
  
• 5 Wedding Lessons
  Our most popular package is five wedding lessons. With this package you’ll learn a beautiful wedding dance and will have additional lessons at the studio to practice and polish your moves.
• 10 Wedding Lessons
  Our largest package is ten wedding lessons. This is the perfect choice for couples who want to do something extra special for your first dance. With this program your wedding dance will be truly spectacular and a highlight of the evening!
  
• Extra Lessons
  And no matter which option you choose, you can always add on extra wedding lessons if you want more practice.

Wedding lessons are available by appointment Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM. If you have a unique schedule please contact us for options.

If you want custom choreography to a specific song, you’ll need to sign up for Wedding Dance lessons.

Wedding couples are welcome and encouraged to attend our regular dance classes and to take advantage of our Get Started new student special.

If you have time, a great way to prepare for your wedding is to begin with Get Started. Over the course of a month, you’ll learn a variety of dances that will enable you to enjoy dancing together at your reception.

Then, if you’d like to learn a special routine for your first dance, you can sign up for Wedding Lessons. This will save you money, since you’ll have built a foundation of dance skills and will need fewer Wedding Lessons.

Yes if that works for you, that’s great. But we’ve found that most people have trouble learning choreography from a video and making it look good with their partner. We’ve had many couples come to us for help after trying to learn a dance online…

Many of the wedding dance videos you see online are performed by professionals. Their years of training make it look easy; but it doesn’t always look good or feel comfortable when you try it at home.

The other benefit of coming to our studio is we’ll create a unique, custom choreography for YOU based on your skills, your personality, and your song.

With all the stress of planning a wedding, it’s nice to have someone make it easy and take care of you.

When you sign up for our wedding lessons, you simply pick a song and show up to the studio – we’ll take care of the rest:

All of our wedding packages are designed for absolute beginners with no natural abilities or coordination. You’ll have a beautiful dance and be successful with any of our wedding dance packages, even if you have two left feet :-)

The difference is, the more lessons you take - the more intricate and exciting we can make your dance. But no matter if you choose 3, 5, or 10 lessons – you’ll feel confident and ready on your wedding day.

And of course, you can always add more lessons to your package if you want more time to practice.

• For late cancellations, a fee of $50 will be charged to reschedule.

We’ve even had a couple come in for a last-minute dance lesson the night before their wedding. So it’s never too late.

We can help you select a song if you have a few choices and can’t decide. But it helps if you choose a song together before your first lesson. This allows us to spend your lesson time teaching you to dance rather than listening to song options.

Here’s our top tips for selecting the perfect song for your first dance:

• Choose a song that’s special and meaningful to BOTH of you. If you have a favorite artist that your fiancé hates, pick something else.
• Choose a song that will stand the test of time.
• Choose a song that speaks to your love, your feelings, and your relationship.
• Don’t worry about the tempo or style of dance. We can create a first dance for any song you choose.
• Bonus points if you select a song that matches the vibe of your wedding:  sophisticated, country, whimsical, ect.
• Choose a song that expresses your personalities (sexy, proper, playful, romantic, ect).
• Make sure the lyrics and song story are appropriate for a wedding.
• Remember this will be the song you’ll dance to for the rest of your lives. Make it a great one!

Option 1:  Get Started + Group Classes and/or Private Lessons
If you have a few months before the wedding, we recommend beginning with our Get Started [ADD LINK] new student special. Get Started is 50% off your first month of classes and includes 1 Welcome Lesson, 4 Group Classes, and 1 Dance Party. 

Then you may continue with group classes (and/or private lessons) after that. There’s no better way to prepare for a crowded reception dance floor.

Option 2:  Private Lessons
If you prefer private instruction or have less than a month before the wedding, we recommend the 3 Lesson or 5 Lesson Wedding packages.

We recommend the 3 Lesson Wedding packages for Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances. If you feel you’d like extra sessions, you may purchase the 5 Lesson Wedding package.
