I remember when I began dancing as a student, I was in constant state of vigilance and stress trying to predict what was coming next so I wouldn't mess it up 🫣

While leaders have plenty of challenges on the dance floor, you're always in charge of what comes next.

This may sound obvious, but from day one you've had to know where you're going and how to get there.

Believe it or not - many beginner followers don't know this.

They rely on you because they actually don't know their steps.

So when we begin doing more open work and followers can't cling to you for guidance, many will struggle to do basic footwork.

So as the moves get more complex, you'll actually learn more quickly than the followers.

You've already done the hard work and built a strong foundation right from the start.

So while it IS challenging to be a leader - know that brighter days are ahead! ☀️
