Ways to let dance light up our heart and lift our spirits.

So how can I bring more ease and enjoyment into my dancing?


Let's start with a full appreciation of our body.

How fortunate we are to have the ability to move and dance.

It's easy to focus on our limitations - could we instead delight in what we can do.

No matter how impaired or inadequate we might feel, there are dancers who wished they had our health, vitality, and ability.

So enjoy it! 😄

Embodiment 🧍


Bring awareness to how dancing makes us feel.


The sensations in the body. The touch of a partner's hand. The power (or softness) in each movement.

Can we get out of our head and into our body?

When we're present, more feeling is possible. 💖

Permission Granted ✅


In life, dessert comes after broccoli.

But what if we could have enjoyment before mastery 🤯

It's ok to focus on the fun.

Put a smile on our face and joy in our hearts and just dance!

Not trying to be perfect.

Not worried that we're not "there" yet.

Just allowing ourselves to enjoy the goodness of dance - right here, right now.

(We won't tell your mom that you had dessert first 😉)
