Wear fitness attire (such as yoga pants with a T-shirt or tank top) and wear a hip scarf. Plan to dance in bare feet (or socks if you wish).

A hip scarf is included with our Belly Dance Bundle, and we offer Belly Dance hips scarves for sale at our studio.

You don’t need to wear revealing clothing or show your stomach while Belly Dancing. However you are welcome to wear a sports bra or crop top to class if you wish.

New students are invited to begin with our Belly Dance Bundle new student special:  2 group classes and a hip scarf. If your schedule permits, it’s nice to try a class with each teacher so you can see which class you prefer.

People of ALL ages, shapes, and sizes can learn to be exquisite Belly Dancers. While every body looks and moves uniquely, the joy we feel while moving to music is what brings us joy and captivates an audience. We welcome you to experience our classes and explore and express the inner Belly Dancer dancer in you.

Our classes are “all levels” so our teachers will guide more experienced dancers to explore more complex, fuller, and faster movements while ensuring beginners learn the basic elements. Experienced dancers may especially enjoy the challenge of our Belly Dance Choreography class.

Yes! Our Belly Dance choreography class is open to students of all levels. The only requirement is that you also be enrolled in at least one of our “regular” Belly Dance classes. This is to ensure you keep learning and developing your Belly Dance skills in addition to learning choreography.

Performances are optional, and you may take the choreography class simply to learn and enjoy dancing a routine. Be sure to let the teacher know that you don’t want to perform so they won’t include you in group formations.

A group class is where one teacher works with many students and covers a specific dance or topic. 

Group classes are a fun, affordable way to learn and enjoy dancing with a community. And they are an essential part of any dance program because they allow you to practice dancing with a variety of partners. This is a proven way to accelerate your learning and will make you a better leader or follower. Bring your friends; make new friends. It’s always fun to learn together.

We recommend signing up for group classes at least 24 hours in advance. This is to ensure that your class isn't canceled due to low enrollment and so you'll automatically be notified of any schedule changes or class cancellations.

If you’re unable to enroll in advance, yes - you can still come to class :-) Just be sure to check our schedule online to ensure there aren’t any last-minute class cancellations.

If you’re a new student and haven’t enrolled online, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete your registration at the front desk.

Our group classes are ongoing and you can start anytime! No need to wait until the beginning of the month to begin.

Yes, you can drop-in to our group classes or you can purchase a discounted class pass. We offer 5 and 10 class passes that are valid for 3 months. We also offer monthly studio memberships.

If you take one class per week, we recommend a 5 class pass.

If you take two or more classes per week, we recommend a 10 class pass.

This ensures you have ample time to use all your classes before they expire.

Since levels vary widely by studio and region, we ask dancers who are new to our studio to take their first class at the Intro level (or take a private lesson if you prefer) so your teacher can assess your level and recommend the best placement for you. When you’re ready to move-up, just ask your teacher.

At Revolution Ballroom we teach the most popular styles of partner dance including:

• Smooth Dances:  Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz
• Rhythm Dances:  Rumba, Cha Cha, Mambo, East Coast Swing, Bolero
• Club, Latin, and Social Dances:  Salsa, Bachata, Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing

We also offer Belly Dance.

Note that our studio teaches American style Smooth & Rhythm.

Look up - our studio is on the second floor :-) Revolution Ballroom is located on Boundary Street in the Beaufort Town Center. Our studio is behind Outback Steakhouse in the brown brick two-story building on the right side of the plaza. Revolution Ballroom is on the second floor above Michael’s Salon. There is plenty of free parking, and you may access the studio by stairs or elevator.

We don’t offer refunds for gift certificates or for packages after first use. For example, if you buy a 5 class pass, but only attend 2 classes, you won’t receive a partial refund or be able to transfer unused classes to another person. We also don't offer refunds if you cancel within 24 hours of your lesson, class, or party.

We recommend starting with a new student special or drop-in so you can try our classes and see if they're right for you.

Revolution Ballroom is a joyful and welcoming space to learn and connect in a safe environment. 

Inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to unwanted sexual advances or language; intoxication, discrimination based on race, creed, sexual orientation, or gender; or intentional physical or emotional harm will result in you being asked to leave the premises immediately and forfeiting the remainder of your class or services.

We have a non-fraternization policy between our ballroom teachers and their students. Students and teachers may not date or have personal relationships.

Ballroom teachers are not permitted to attend non-studio sponsored social events with their students.
